Analysis Method Development of Hybrid Linear Motor Considering Cogging Force Effect

This study examines the distributions of cogging and current forces in a hybrid linear motor their impact on its performance. Subsequently, using Maxwell stress tensor to analyze force acting motor, method has been proposed for calculating effect mechanical system stiffness. Based profile, it was found that noncurrent could reduce spring stiffness when is operation. An electromagnetic–mechanical coupling analysis conducted calculate displacement acceleration dummy jig. The experimental analytical results were good agreement, indicating accurate reliable.
